Bermuda Security Group has been named as an authorised international service provider by Alarm.com, the American technology company.
BSG, which said it has been home to the island’s first 24-hour “central station” that has evolved to become a fully redundant, 24-hour monitoring service, said the addition of Alarm.com elevates Bermuda’s residential and commercial security offerings in line with the demands of the modern consumer.

BSG said it was hit hard by early measures required to mitigate the spread of Covid-19. The short-term closure of the airport in the initial months of the pandemic, followed by lowered air capacity and the reduced ability for technicians to do regular site visits and traditional sales and maintenance calls meant that three divisions of its business were significantly impacted.
As the economy has gradually opened up, the company said it predicts a brighter future with heightened demand for existing products including Alarm.com and opportunities for new service offerings.
BSG said security insiders in North America have observed, since the pandemic, a tremendous increase in reliance on technology to keep connected. This shift has led to consumer interest in expanding that connectedness in the home and office. The company added that the growth of work from home has resulted in an increased need for security systems which can be self-monitored and managed remotely.
