BSG COVID-19 Update

Along with the rest of the world, we are navigating uncharted territories. Through it all, we are committed to providing consistent, relevant communications to our staff and customers. With the most recent shift in the island’s COVID-19 status this weekend, we wanted to update you on our company’s necessary operational adjustments.

It is our understanding that Bermuda’s licensed security providers are essential services. As such Bermuda Security Group will continue to maintain our operations to support our national security efforts throughout this global pandemic.

TODAY’S BSG STATUS UPDATES

  • 24/7 Central Station Monitoring. Our monitoring platform will continue to serve existing clients at full capacity. The state-of-the-art system has multiple layers of redundancy to ensure that monitoring of your alarms will continue uninterrupted.
  • No walk-In appointments.m We will not accept walk-ins at this time. We encourage clients to call or email us with any concerns, queries or feedback. As an essential Bermuda business, we will remain operational during normal business hours. Our in-house staff has been downsized with a mix of remote workstations, shift work and social distancing in compliance with the island’s COVID-19 transmission reduction protocol.

  • After-hours operations Our after-hours call centre remains operational. Please note that on call/after hours technicians will not physically make site visits during this period. Our team of technicians has been equipped to help customers work through issues via phone call. If a site visit is required, technicians will only make these calls for emergency services at essential businesses.
  • General enquiries – 292-8181 or info@bsg.bm After-hours operations Our after-hours call centre remains operational.
  • All enquiries – 292-8181 Installations have resumed however we reserve the right to require compliance with all COVID-19 transmission protocols including masking and social distancing.
  • On-site service and maintenance visits on hold – We have postponed all non-emergency on-site service calls until further notice. This will support the island’s COVID-19 transmission reduction protocols. Please note that our customer care team is required to ask clients about their travel history and COVID-19 exposure risk even for emergency jobs.

We will continue to take the appropriate precautions to ensure compliance and overall safety of our staff. We have enabled a remote workforce and where necessary have instated rotating shift systems to protect our staff. Additionally we have fully engaged the enhanced hygiene protocols and social and professional distancing measures to ensure that we have a healthy workforce and that we remain safe to do business with.
